Good morning world!
You know my favorite color is red. As I grew up I wore a lot of black and I love it. I also like burgundy and emerald green mixed together. It reminds me of my mom's dress as a child and the Redwood forests.
I'm sitting here staring at fake red bricks. They're out of plastic probably some kind of weird tile. But they're still pleasant to me. Even though they're fake. They still remind me of growing up in the brick house. That's what we used to call the h ... ouse we lived in when I was a child. The Brick House.
It was old red-brick. You rub your hand against it and you had red dust on your fingers like pixie.
It was genuine.
We may not have many genuine things in our lives. Most of our relationships, whether friends or intimates are not. Some of them are downright bad for us. prom
But we still love them.
I was just thinking why that is.
Then it dawned on me, the red bricks.
You see, when I'm living in the past or enjoying too much of it I'm not experiencing reality. Im trying to relive something from my childhood.
I love the color red.
I love authentic red bricks. But as long as I cloud the present with my cherished memories of the past, I'll allow any red brick to do. Even if it's fake.
As you go about your day today take a pause and consider yourself. Its okay, youre grown now.
Why do you love the things that you do? And why do you cherish so much the things that you don't.
There's no real instruction. No scoreboard. Just something to consider about yourself. It's always good to be aware.
